Built into the hillside and hidden from view, the home gradually reveals itself as you descend the interior staircase. At the bottom, the space opens up into a warm, fully-renovated retreat with a wall of windows overlooking the wooded ravine. Once inside, you'll enter an open living and kitchen area, thoughtfully designed with cozy furnishings, a fireplace, and peaceful views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Continue down the hallway to find 2 Bedrooms with king beds, both offering direct access to the expansive deck through sliding glass doors. You'll also find a 3rd bedroom with a queen bed and daybed—ideal for kids, guests, or a quiet reading nook. The expansive deck outside is the standout feature - completely private and nestled in the trees. You'll find cozy areas for dining, lounging, and soaking up the views. An unforgettable stay at The Fox Den. The house is exactly as described, which is rare. Every detail, from the brand-new linens and fully stocked kitchen to the thoughtful touch of local beer in the fridge, felt intentional and welcoming. Spotlessly clean, beautifully remodeled, and easy to settle into. Check-in was smooth, with clear directions and a professional welcome guide. Chad was incredibly responsive and clearly takes pride in hosting. The setting is peaceful and private, just blocks from downtown but tucked into the trees above a ravine. The deck was a favorite spot for watching deer and enjoying the sounds of nature. Inside, the beds were cozy, the towels soft, and everything felt thoughtfully chosen. The Smart TV, electric fireplace, and huge windows made the space feel relaxing and easy to enjoy. A perfect blend of comfort, quiet, and charm. Highly recommend.

We had such a peaceful and rejuvenating stay at this beautiful home in Douglas, MI. Nestled in what truly feels like a forest, the house is surrounded by nature with stunning wooded views from every window. It felt like a bird lover’s sanctuary — we saw so many different species throughout the day, which added such a special touch to our mornings. Several deer sightings as well. The home itself is freshly renovated and incredibly clean, with thoughtful and charming details throughout. You can tell a lot of care went into creating a cozy, welcoming space. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck or unwinding inside, everything about our stay was relaxing and serene. We are already planning a second trip back. Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort!
